I had VPN before...
If you had an earlier version of VPN installed before downloading the new Cisco VPN client, you need to uninstall the current version before upgrading.
For Windows, simply remove the old VPN client using the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel. If this does not work, Cisco has instructions on how to manually remove VPN on their website. The instructions for manually removing VPN for Windows 2000 and Windows XP are available as a PDF.
Manually uninstalling VPN is an advanced task; call the help desk (368-HELP) for assistance.
For Mac OS 10.X, simply install the new version on top of the current installation. The old installation will be removed as part of the install process. If you need to uninstall VPN for the Macintosh, the instructions are available from Cisco. The instructions for manually removing VPN for Mac OS 10.1 and later are available as a website.
As with Windows instructions, manually uninstalling VPN is an advanced task; call the help desk (368-HELP) for assistance.
****** Notes:
The new PC version’s uninstaller works consistently well. The mac uninstaller would be better run as sudo instead as root.
