POP vs. IMAP
Am I using POP or IMAP?
If you are not sure if you are using POP or IMAP, check the properties or settings in your email program.
- In Eudora, this is usually under Tools and Options (or Special, Settings on a Macintosh). Under 'Incoming Mail' either IMAP or POP will be selected.
- In Outlook 2000 and previous versions, try under 'Tools', 'Accounts', select the Case account, and then select properties.
In Outlook XP/2003, try 'Tools', 'E-mail Accounts', 'View or change existing accounts', 'Next', select the Case account, and 'Change'. - If you are using the mail.case.edu webpage to check email, you are using IMAP!
