Checking Mail with Mozilla Mail
The Mozilla web browser has a built in mail feature. To set it up to check your Case mail:
- Go to 'Window' and select 'News and Mail'
- Choose 'New Account'
- In the Identity window enter your name as you would like it to appear on your outgoing email, and your Case email address.
- Click Next. In the Server Window select if you would like POP or IMAP (for an explaination of the differences, see our Checking Mail page. The incoming mail server is Mail.cwru.edu and the outgoing mail server is smtp.cwru.edu. If you are off campus using another Internet Service Provider, please use the send mail server of your ISP.
- Click Next. For the Username, enter your Case Network User ID. Click Next.
- You will be asked to name the connection, by default it will choose your email address. Leave the connection named as your address or choose a descriptive name of your choice and click next.
- In the final screen, double check that your information is listed correctly and click Finish.
You are now configured to send and receive email using Mozilla Mail.
