Spam Control Accept and Reject Lists

What is an Accept/Reject List and how to manage yours.
An Accept List
is a list of addresses or domain names (An example of a domain name is case.edu or yahoo.com) that Spam Control will allow to send you email even if it looks suspicious. Most commonly people put email mailing lists on their Accept List.
A Reject List
is a list of addresses or domain names from which you do not want to receive mail. If someone on your Reject list sends you email, it will be flagged by Spam Control as junk mail.
The Mirapoint system has a global Accept and Reject list that is set by the administrators and you have a personal Accept and Reject list you can manage.

How do I do this?
  1. Log on to the Spam Control Website
  2. Select Accept List or Reject list
  3. Type in the address you would like to add to the list in the box provided and click 'add to list.' Be careful to not get the Accept list confused with the Reject list. You can also select an address in the Accept or Reject list and click 'remove' to remove that address from the list.
Note: Your personal Accept list over-rides your Reject list so if you add a domain to your Reject list, such as @yahoo.com, you can add a specific address to your Accept list, such as MyFriend@yahoo.com, and receive email from that person.
