Importing calendars into Oracle

What is it?

If you are already using a calendar program and want to switch to Corporate Time, for many calendar programs you can export your old calendar to a file and Import it to Corporate Time. This means you can switch from one to the other without missing a beat, or a meeting!

How do I do it?

Note: If you are using Microsoft Outlook, try the Outlook Connector. It is designed to synchronize outlook and Corporate Time, importing meetings from one to the other automatically.
  1. First, in your calendar program you will need to find the export function. Where it is exactly depends on the program, but for most it will be under File and called 'Export'. If it is a fairly recent calendar program, it should give you choices for how to export the file. Make sure you select one of the following: ical (iCalendar file), vcal (vCalendar file), Sc2 (Schedule+ 7x file), vCard, comma-delimited text or tab-delimited text.
  2. Note where you save the exported file and what it is called.
  3. Open up the Corporate Time Client, you cannot import files to the webpage, only the downloaded client.
  4. Choose File and select 'Import'

  5. Select the type of file you exported from your calendar program and click 'Continue'.

  6. Depending on the type of file this next screen will look different. If you only want to import recent records, or records for a specific week you can select the range you want. If you want all the records, select 'All'. Click the Browse button and locate the exported calendar file (It should be where you saved it in step two!)

  7. Double click on the file, and then click 'OK'.
  8. Now the meetings, tasks and such from the old calendar should be imported into CorporateTime!
