So, How do I install it?
- On the Software Center webpage, click on Windows Download
next to Adobe Acrobat 6. The download should automatically begin in a few seconds. If it doesn't, click the word 'here' to begin the download.
- You will be asked if you want to run the file from its current location or save it to disk. Choose Save to Disk and click OK
- You will be given the option of where to save the file. The default location is fine, but note where it is. Click Save.
- If the installer does not automatically launch, you will need to go to the location where you saved it and double click on it. It is a very good idea to save whatever you are doing on your computer and close other programs before running the installer.
- A message will pop up and remind you of the required operating systems for Acrobat 6. If your operating system is listed, click continue. If not, exit the installation.
- The installer will now look for previous versions of Acrobat on your computer. If it finds a previous version, click Uninstall to let it remove the previous version(s) from your computer. When the uninstall is complete, you will need to double click on the install file again to install the program.
- Once again, click Continue on the pop up message, then next, and Next again.
- Choose the language you want to read the end user license agreement in and click Next to view the End User License Agreement. Read the License agreement carefully and click 'I Accept'. The registration page will have been filled out for you by the installer, click Next.
- Select the type of setup you would like. Typical Install is the default. (note: these instructions were written using the typical install option) Click Next.
- Click Next to install the program in the default folder, and then click Install to begin the installation process. The install will take a few minutes. When it is done, click Finish. We're done! A shortcut to Acrobat will now be on your desktop.
