Code Warrior for Macintosh
What is Code Warrior?
No, it's not a Computer Science student with a sword, Code Warrior is a programming editor and compiler used by several computer programming classes here at Case. If you are a computer science student, sooner or later you will cross paths (and hopefully not swords!) with the Code Warrior. Note: Code Warrior is currently only available for OS 8 or 9, not X.
So, How do I install it?
- On the Software Center webpage, click on Macintosh Download
next to Codewarrior 7.0. The download should automatically begin in a few seconds. If it doesn't, click the word 'here' to begin the download. Your Download Manager should open. Be aware that this download can take a long time.
- The Code Warrior 7.0 installer
will now be on your desktop. Double click on it.
- You can change where Code Warrior installs right now if you like. By Default it will install in the System Folder. If you'd like another folder, click on the install location
and change it. For example you might want it in the Applications folder. Click 'Install'
- Restart your computer when prompted to do so.
- Code Warrior is now installed! You can put the installer on your desktop into the trash, we're done with it. If you kept the default location during the install, Code Warrior is in the System Folder. You can move it to the Applications Folder if you like.
- You must have KeyAccess installed and running to use Code Warrior. Installing KeyAccess
Common Problems
- Some Macintosh DVD players will not run while the debugger is installed. If you want to watch a DVD on your mac and you get this error, simply uninstall the debugger and reinstall it when you are done.
