Using the Software Center

Who has access to the Software Center

The Software Center is only available to current Students, Staff and Faculty of Case. Affiliate Staff, Affiliate Faculty and Alumni are not eligible for the Software Center downloads.

How to use the Software Center

Go to the Software Center webpage. Click 'I Agree' to the license agreement (after reading it thoroughly), after which the page will ask you for your Case Username and Password. All of the Programs which are available are listed. Please pay attention to the red question mark icons next to each program. By clicking on the red question mark, you will be given information and instructions that are important to consider before you proceed installing anything on your system. Any of the software packages or programs with a key logo next to them will need KeyAccess installed and a direct Case connection to install them. PPP Dial-in and the VPN count as a direct connection, though it is not recommended to install from the Software Center over PPP because of the slow connection speeds. (PPP is satisfactory for using KeyAccess once the program is installed. KeyAccess does not need a fast connection to run.)

Note: The Software Center is designed to work with Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. Other web browser programs may experience problems.
There are a few other programs available on a limited basis through the Site Licensed Software program.
