Endnote
What is Endnote?
Endnote is a program for creating bibliographies, footnotes and, of course, endnotes. With its auto-formatting tools it is a life saver for scholarly publications. Currently there is a $30 fee for downloading Endnote from the Software Center, a considerable discount to the retail price which is well over $200.
So, How do I install it?
- On the Software Center webpage, click on Windows Download
next to Endnote.
- You will be asked to log in again, do so. This will take you to the eStore.
- The purchase information will be displayed, click 'proceed to checkout'
- Fill in the purchase information and click 'Complete purchase' If there was an error, you can hit the 'back' button on your browser and try filling in the form again.
- The download should automatically begin in a few seconds. If you are given the option of running the file from its current location or saving it to disk, we recommend 'run from current location'. If you do save the file to your computer, make a note of where it is saved.
- The installer should automatically run, if it does not Double click on the endnote.exe file.
- You will be prompted with a license code, write this down, you will need it later in the install. Click Ok.
- The Install wizard will open. Click Next, enter your name and organization when prompted and click next again.
- Read the license agreement and click 'I agree'
- Select Full Install (This is recommended, advanced users may want to do a custom install) click next, next again and next again.
- Click OK at the key access notice. This notice will appear twice
- Uncheck 'I want to register on line now' if you would prefer to register your software at a later date.
- Click finish, you're done!
- You must have KeyAccess installed and running to use Endnote. Installing KeyAccess
- After installing EndNote and opening Microsoft Word, I do not see the EndNote toolbar or commands under the Tools menu. How can I fix this?
