WinaXe
What is WinaXe?
WinaXe is a program to use Linux and Unix programs on a remote computer on your Windows computer. This is very useful for professors who want to serve something on a Linux computer for their students using Windows computers.
So, How do I install it?
- On the Software Center webpage, click on Windows Download
next to WinaXe 6.2.
- The download should automatically begin in a few seconds. If it doesn't, click the word 'here' to begin the download.
- Double click on the install file.
- Click next to install to the default directory, or change the installation directory and then hit next.
- Click next on the welcome dialogue.
- Enter your user name then click next.
- Accept the End User License Agreement.
- Enter your name and click next.
- Click next to install to the default directory, or change the installation directory and then click next.
- Choose type of installation, and click next. NOTE: typical installation is recommended.
- Click next and then Click OK. You're done!
NOTE: You must be directly connected to the CASE network in order to use WinaXe 6.2. WinaXe requires KeyAccess. If you have not already done so, you will need to Install Key Access.
