How to use the billing system if you are a Department Administrator.
Logging In For the First Time?
In order to access the Pinnacle Billing System, use your existing Case UserID (for example, abc13) and Password.
If you do not have a valid UserID, please contact the Help Desk at 368-4357 for further assistance. If you do not remember your password, you may reset it here.
How Do I Use the Site?
You will receive an email from Telephone Services, containing a link to the billing system.
- Step 1
- Click on the link shown in the email.
- Step 2
- Login with your Case Network UserID and password.
- Note: If you do not remember your password, you may reset it at https://cnswww.cns.case.edu/net/password/csspr.html.
- Step 3
- After you have logged in, you will see a splash screen with "Welcome and your name" at the top. The right hand side of the top menubar has the
ReportsandMaintenancelinks. ClickReports. - Step 4
- Select the department you wish to view from the drop down menu and click on the button
View Departmental Usage. Note: Only those departments assigned to you are available for your viewing. If the departments listed are incorrect, please contact Telephone Services at 368-3900. - Step 5
- The available reports for the department will appear on the screen. Click on the date link, located under the "Billing Date" column, to view the appropriate billing report.
- NOTE: You can select the report to be viewed in three formats:
- HTML (by default) allows the entire bill to be viewed in detailed individual or entire departmental summary format. You do not need to put a check mark next to
Include Individual Detail. - Excel displays the summary billing in a downloadable spreadsheet format, but does not include a detailed breakdown of calls made by individuals. If you want a detailed report, remember to put a check mark next to
Include Individual Detail. When using this option, it may take a few minutes to generate the report. Please be patient. - PDF is a downloadable summary billing that is presented in an easy to read simple format, but will not give you individual account information. If you intend to include detailed information, place a check mark next to

- The "Departmental Usage Report" is separated into two sections. The
Subscriber Summarybreaks down each employees' call history for your department. TheAccount Summaryfor the entire department, covers local, toll and MRC (Monthly Recurring) charges. Please see the FAQ for further information on the breakdown of charges. - Step 7
- In the
Subscriber Summarysection, each subscriber's (employee) name is displayed as a link. To view information for an individual subscriber, first decide on how you want to view it. You can leave theOutput Methodas HTML or select either Excel or PDF. You then click on their name in the list to generate their individual report.
- Each subscriber can have their
Individual Detailpulled up with their telephone history broken down into three summaries:Monthly Recurring Charges(MRCs),Operator Assisted CallsandLocal Calls of significant duration or cost. Note that any of the codes (e.g. BOXBA or 9PZLX) listed in theItemcolumn under the MRC section, are for internal use only by the Telephone Services department. - When you are done viewing or downloading the bill, click on the "Logout" link found along the top of the window to end the session.
