Welcome to the CaseLabs TVoIP pilot.
We are in progress of adding a digital television over IP system to the current Gigabit network. We are taking an aggressive lead in maturing the use of rich media throughout the campus and beyond, expanding convergence, expanding the available methods for teaching, learning, communicating and collaborating.
TVoIP is currently a set of pilot projects establishing 2 separate technology standards for evaluating, testing, designing, building and delivering campus-wide media services over the Gigabit network. Our primary objective stems from a strategic plan for creating a new and exciting digital television system. use by faculty, staff, students and partnering organizations. This new video platform will be utilized to enhance education, retention, administration and research programs. In addition, it will increase frequency of real-time day-to-day communications and collaborations without the need to leave your office, classroom or in some situations, your home.
