Protect yourself from malicious PDF files

Never open a .pdf attachment that is unexpected or sent from someone you do not know. Of course, be sure to install Symantic AntiVirus software, and set it for automatic updates. The best way to protect yourself against spam .pdf files is to never open a .pdf attachment that is unexpected or sent from someone you do not know. Of course, be sure to install Symantic AntiVirus software, and set it for automatic updates. Additionally, Acrobat should be configured for automatic software updates. If you do open malicious .pdf file that exploits a known vulnerability in Acrobat, hopefully it's been patched in the latest version. Both Acrobat and Symantic AntiVirus software are available on http://softwarecenter.case.edu .
