Using passwords correctly

Any combination of letters and numbers can be a password, but it takes something more to make a Good Password.

A proper password uses three of the four categories: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, or punctuation.

One popular password generating method is to take a word and a number and mix it together. For example, "Molly’s" birth date is February 28th, 1974 and her password is set to m4o7L8L2y2 (her birthdate is backwards). This makes it easy for "Molly" to remember, but hard for someone else to figure out.
